Our Facilities
Our purpose built kennels are found in rural Te Anau on a life-style block, surrounded by farm animals, mountains and fresh air.
Your pup may get better views than you on their holiday
We have seven fenced outdoor grassed areas, where dogs can run freely and play. This allows for playing in groups to socialise or having individual areas to have some quiet time.
Inside, each dog has it’s own area to sleep and eat in. We have areas for large, medium and small dogs, so that everyone has space to spread out while inside. Underfloor heating keeps everyone nice and cozy on the Southern winter nights.
About Us
We are a family operated kennels. Kris has been farming for 23 years and has trained and worked with dogs for longer than this. He and Raewyn moved to the Te Anau Basin 16 years ago, to live in what can only be described as Paradise. Raewyn is a local teacher and the person on the other end of your booking. Our children William & Jessie have grown up with dogs and have a natural kindness and ease when working with them.
The kennels came with the life-style block we purchased and we open Fiordland Kennels in December of 2022. Since then Kris has taken a break from full time farming to focus on the kennels and his dog breeding and training business Fiordland Finders.

Off-Site Walks

We offer offsite walks and runs for your precious pups while they stay with us.
These could be adventures to swim in the river, run along the Lake2Lake Bike trail or explorer the Manapouri Lakeside.
We try to switch up our routes to provide stimulation and varied additional exercise

All bookings are made via email. This allows us to send through further information and the forms you will need to fill in, before your furry friend can come and stay with us.
Returning Customers
If your pup has stayed before you are welcome to email or send a message via facebook to inquire about future dates.
